Geneviève Nedder

Geneviève Nedder is a certified Pilates Instructor with nearly 20 years of Movement
teaching experience. She is certified in Pilates Post-Rehabilitation, as well as
being trained and certified through Shapes™ with Barbara Huttner, and Essential
Motion Inc. with Diana Bailey in Denver, Colorado. A certified teacher of the Ron
Fletcher Work™, she has been trained and certified directly by Ron Fletcher.
Geneviève continues to advance her Pilates and Movement knowledge through educational
workshops and in individual training sessions with peers in complementary disciplines.
Geneviève began her transformation from performer to Pilates Instructor and
Movement Coach in the early 1990s. After auto accidents left her with severe neck,
back and jaw injuries, she turned to Pilates for rehabilitation and surgery prevention.
Geneviève's success inspired her to dive headlong into a Pilates career,
ambitiously achieving certifications in five comprehensive and highly intensive
training programs in merely six years.
Since founding Body Fundamentals in 1996, Geneviève has continued to develop
her own style of Pilates program, integrating nearly a dozen years of Pilates training
and an extensive background in Dance and Movement. Her specially designed programs
combine key principles from various disciplines and reflect an ongoing commitment to
help others reach their fitness potential, regardless of previous injuries or chronic
conditions.
Geneviève's popular customized Pilates and Movement workshops are not only a
natural complement to her practice, but also a natural result of years creating and
presenting such for theatre, dance and improvisational groups. As a guest instructor
and presenter, she focuses on incorporating mind and body awareness learning into
each Pilates and Movement event.
In addition to multiple Pilates and Movement Certifications, Geneviève has a
B.F.A. in Theatre and Dance from the University of Arizona. She's trained and studied
at Pepperdine University, The National Theatre Conservatory and The Oxford School of
Drama. Genevieve has directed professionally and performed on stage, in television,
film and video in London and Oxford, England; Edinburgh, Scotland; Los Angeles,
California; Denver, Colorado and Phoenix, Arizona, among others. She is a member
of IDEA Health & Fitness Association, the Screen Actors Guild, and the Pilates
Method Alliance.
